Supporting charities is now more important than ever. With the ongoing pandemic continuing to affect charities not only financially, but also affecting the donation flow and volunteering, it has become much more critical for businesses and individuals to do what they can to help.
After learning about a great local charity, Harbour Support Services, through our IT partners Murtek IT Services (based in Newton Aycliffe), Retail Profiling have donated more than a dozen laptops which Murtek have kindly contributed their time and efforts to refurbish for Harbour Support Services. In these current times, the laptops have been very gratefully received by the charity as under the current guidelines, the sharing of equipment has been prohibited.
Harbour Support Services have provided assistance to families and individuals affected by domestic abuse for over 40 years. They work across Tees Valley, County Durham, Darlington and North Tyneside, supporting around 3500 individuals a year, sadly the number of people they have helped this year has significantly increased due to the ongoing pandemic.
Lesley Gibson, Chief Executive from Harbour said, ‘Retail Profiling and Murteks kind donation is very welcomed and is perfectly timed. Harbour will be able to carry out our support work for clients more efficiently and productively due to the most generous donation.’
If you or your business have any surplus laptops that could be donated to this great cause, please get in touch with Stuart Murray from Murtek on 01388 435020
