New Role: Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Management Accountant, with experience within a privately owned expanding SME business to join our talented team. In this role you would report directly to our experienced Finance Director.

Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Purchase, sales and nominal ledger postings and reconciliations
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Keeping financial records
  • Calculating and posting of month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and deferred income
  • VAT Returns
  • Preparing annual cost centre budgets and quarterly departmental variance reports
  • Monitoring weekly cashflow
  • Credit control
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Supporting monthly payroll
To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate critical skills and experience, including;
  • Be qualified to a minimum AAT level 4/part qualified CIMA
  • Have at least 12 months experience in a similar commercial role
  • Have strong attention to detail and levels of accuracy
  • Have strong IT skills in particular in 365 programs, and specifically Excel
  • Have the ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative
  • Have strong problem-solving, analytical and time management skills
  • Experience of using QuickBooks is desirable but not essential
