Western Digital (Retail) Sales Development - Training & Compliance
Client Brief
Having invested in new products and promotions in UK Retail, Western Digital (WD) needed to ensure their return on investment was maximised through sustained sales development and support.
Recognising quality training and promotional compliance was essential if staff were to effectively promote and sell their products, WD turned to RPC.
Activity
To deliver for WD, RPC deployed a dedicated team of Sales Developers to key UK multiple retailers. The team continue to deliver:
Training - building of sales team’s product knowledge and awareness of WD hard drive and storage solutions.
Compliance of the funded promotions and new product launches , undertaking any necessary remedial action.
Merchandising of the range to ensure products had best possible visibility.
In addition, key sales data and feedback was gathered during visits: sales & inventory data; competitor activity, store photographs and anecdotal feedback.
This enabled WD to react to any pressing issues on a daily basis and also to better inform future strategies.
Outcome
The activity delivered increased market share and produced a significant uplift in sales in a highly competitive product sector. Intelligent feedback enabled WD to react quickly to store and market conditions so they could further refine retail strategies. In particular, they could more accurately target resources amongst key retail partners to deliver best possible ROI.
